Here I am again for a quick update on Tony's hospitalization.
Today he is doing MUCH better. He had the colonoscopy this afternoon, just as I was arriving at the hospital the nurse comes in saying they were taking him down to get it done. It went pretty fast too.
There was no active blood, and the report was that is was diverticulitis again - just like the last time. Tomorrow the cardiologist is supposed to come by - hopefully he will come this time, as he was supposed to come Sunday night and never showed up, and again today, never showed up. Crossing fingers that they will at least release him to a regular room. And hopefully will be home soon.
He's still not allowed to get out of bed, but at this point that's pretty ridiculous, but he doesn't have a bathroom in his room, so he has no choice but to ask the nurse for a bedpan if he needs to go - maybe they will allow the use of a portable potty this time.
Now that he's getting better he's getting antsy. I was home maybe 20 minutes when I get a call from him and he wanted me to bring him a radio, because he's bored to tears there, can't walk around, of course there's no TV, it's an ICU.......lol, so off I went and brought him one, good thing the hospital is nearby.....lol...........and that it's not snowing or anything, though that won't be too long now.
It was sad tonight, a patient 2 doors down from Tony passed away, the whole family was there to say goodbye, and I think there is another patient across the way that is close to that too, as the family was in and out of the room all night. Even though I don't know the people. I was feeling their pain.
I want to thank everyone who is praying for Tony, it certainly is working since he is much better today!!!
I forgot to mention that his hemoglobin was up to 101 today and the potassium is back to normal too :)

Glad
to hear that Tony is doing better. I wonder if he would play games. A
cellphone might not be allowed into an ICU but what about gameboy or
playstation or a nintendo. LOL. And the hectic world in the hospital
would not bother him too much...
(I could not help thinking of another Tony, who cannot live without games... My 17-year-old son...)
Please take care of yourself, Mo. You have to rest! It has been too many hours.
End of the comment. Hope it won't take up extra space again. ...

Thanks
so much Moe, Pat & Misty. I went there around 11 this morning and
came home around 1:30 to rest a bit, I was sitting in his chair and
falling asleep......lol..........so I get here, sit in the recliner and
try to sleep, about 20 minutes later, just as I'm about to finally get
to sleep. the phone rang and it was someone from his office calling to
inquire how he was doing. Then back to sleep I go and then I'm in a deep
sleep, and Tony calls........lol......sort of by mistake. he THOUGHT he
had the wrong nose strips (Breathe-Right) and as I answer he figured
out they were the right ones..........lol........try so sleep again, and
10 minutes later it's The Bay......LOL, what does a person have to do
to get some sleep around here......lol.........and then, the damn dog
who hasn't figured out the time change yet, wants to be fed at
3PM.....lol, and she won't leave my side, keeps jumping up and down from
my lap, lick me. I finally give up at 3:30 and feed her and I guess
I'll have a bowl of soup and go back to the hospital......lol
Will post more news later :)
