Wednesday November 7th - FINALLY!!!

Originally published on Multiply November 7th, 2007

Tony is in a regular room - BUT, he's with 3 other people, one is unconscious, with a trach in his throat, I don't know the status of the poor man, but it doesn't look very good, and the other 2 patients are in various stages of Alzheimers and in diapers, so Tony is rather put off that he has nobody to talk to.

He still has an IV for the Heparin he is on right now, and I'm not sure if they are starting him on Coumading tonight or not, I hope they do, he has not had any more bleeding. So they should be starting back on it, but maybe only tomorrow.

He's supposed to go through a nuclear scan, not sure if it will be tomorrow or Friday. Problem in being in a regular room is nobody tells you anything and you don't overhear the doctor or nurses talking about what is happening, unlike the ICU where you hear everything, so you know what's happening. I hate being in the dark!!!

He is on a regular food diet, except that he can't have anything with caffeine until this test is over. This test by the way is for the heart, he was actually scheduled to have that done today at another hospital (Hotel-Dieu), but because he was hospitalized, I had to cancel it. But they will do it at the Lakeshore General instead. That's because of the chest pain (angina) he has been having, so they'll check up on his heart - hope all will be ok!!!

Poor Tony wanted to go for a walk downstairs. and get away from those in his room, bu he couldn't move out of the room because the battery on his IV pump wasn't charged, so he was stuck there, another disappointment.

But I did order a TV, so hopefully he'll have that tomorrow, to take his mind off the boredom of sitting in the hospital bed. I was there today for 8 hours, so I'm pretty exhausted too. We actually both bapped this afternoon in the ICU........lol

That's it for now :)

Nighty nite everyone - or Good'day to those downunder :)
